Our newest arrivals Blanca, Joey and Oscar, have now been with us for almost 2 months. It’s been beautiful to see how our other children have been so warm and loving with all of the five new children we took in over the course of the summer.

Tashirat Newsletter June 2009
We’ve been running the tooth fairy ragged with all her visits to the orphanage in the last two months, as finally all the little kids are starting to lose their baby teeth. When the tooth fairy didn’t arrive punctually to reward Julito for the loss of his first front tooth, he generously proclaimed in English “Ahh, I know what happen! It’s because she couldn’t get in the mosquito net!”

Tashirat Newsletter June 2008
We will be opening the Ixaya elementary and junior high school (7th, 8th and 9th grades ) this year! There will be 75 students in the school total, with a maximum of 15 students per classroom so that we can properly give each one the individual attention and care they need.

Tashirat Newsletter March 2008
Last May a journalist, Kristin Barendsen, from Yoga Plus Joyful Living Magazine, paid us a visit and stayed at our Ashram for one week. She wrote an article about Tashirat which you can find on newsstands in the US after April 8th. Thank you Kristin for writing such a beautiful article and Yoga Plus Joyful Living for giving us an opportunity to be featured in your magazine.
