Since 2003, the Tashirat Orphanage has blossomed into a high quality, ecological, family-style home for 22 children. The Tashirat kids receive the love, environment and elements they need to flourish and shine as individuals – to unleash their inner force, beauty and talents.

September 2008, Tashirat expanded with the opening of the Ixaya School. The Ixaya School is a free alternative school for the Tashirat Orphanage children as well as 60 children from the surrounding underprivileged communities. Ixaya provides impoverished children with nutritious meals, a positive learning environment and the confidence and skills to achieve their dreams in life.
